Romance, to be released 25 August 2020
I have a list of authors that I know I will read their books without paying any mind to the books blurb. Meredith Wild and Angel Payne are both on that list. So when they teamed up for this book, it was a no brained that I would read it. Add in Brock, the cover model, and I’m sold. I was very intrigued as I read this book. It’s a little different than their norm but an awesome read nonetheless.
My blurb on what the books about:
Kara is a senior in college, loves the classics and took one of the hardest English classes for the challenge. The professor, Maximus, being good looking is an added perk.
Kara’s family is notorious. There’s just something different about them. They have to hold themselves to a higher standard.
Maximus is a freak of nature, gorgeous and stronger than an ox. His strength caused an accident that left his best friend crippled.
When Kara and Maximus inadvertently touch, sparks fly. Kara thinks it’s just her but Maximus felt it too. Resisting is futile but he is her professor and needs to.
This book delves down into a topic that has always interested me, mythology. While the book does not focus on it, it does end up being critical to the story. The book was written very well with the twenty first century in mind and very casually weaves in mythology as needed.
The actual story line between the two MCs is taboo and tantalizing. Professor and student relations? Oh my! Add in Kara’s family requirements and plan on being kept up late reading, needing to know what comes next.
I know there are two more books planned, which I presume will be Kara and Maximus’ story. I hope though that we get some books on Kara’s sister’s story. Kelly would make a great match with Maximus’ best friend…just my humble opinion.
Anyway, this book was phenomenal and well worth the read. Be forewarned though, the book ends in a cliffhanger and you will want book two immediately. If you’re not the patient kind, best to wait until all three are out when you can read them all together.
Many thanks to Bare Naked Words for providing me with an ARC of this fabulous book.
