Adult romance

Elle comes to Nashville to visit her sister before going to work for her dad. The plan is for her to take over the family business after the New Years holiday.
Tag meets her at a bar and promptly takes her home for the night. When his sister drops his niece off the next morning and vanishes, Tag is left without someone to watch over her while he plays hockey. Elle volunteers only if they keep their hands to themselves. But that’s hard to do with the chemistry they have.
Opinion
This is the second book in the series and I have not read the first yet. While there were several references to what I presume happened in the first, I had no difficulty following this story as a stand alone.
I have to admit that hockey is not a sport I’ve ever followed. However, hockey romances intrigue me. This story was definitely something interesting. With both characters facing hard decisions about their lives, it was inevitable that they cling to each other. Melissa Ivers did a great job of conveying emotions and natural responses throughout the book. Her sense of humor shined in multiple parts. I about died of laughter with what Tag got Elle for Christmas (and do wonder if it’s a real thing.). This book is definitely a great book for sports romance lovers.
Many thanks to Melissa Ivers for providing me with an ARC of this book.
