In this third book in the series, Ashton focuses on high school sweethearts who were separated because she moved. I’d recommend you read the first two books in the series first, not only to understand the backstory but also because you will laugh your bottom off.
Jefferson’s wife died nine years ago. Right now, his son is getting married. His son’s bride wants Kathrine to be her wedding planner. Kitty is recently divorced and moved back to her hometown. When Jefferson realizes that Katherine is his high school sweetheart, Kitty, his view on dating changes.
Kitty has a few other problems going on in her life and may or may not wait for Jefferson to make his mind up. She has her ex who is being a jerk, her daughter who has recently graduated high school with some issues and then her son, a big lawyer in San Francisco, who adds to her plate as well.
This series is a laugh a minute. When you are not laughing, it tugs on your heartstrings. Ashton has a way of evoking emotions you may or may not have wanted to feel. I am a big fan and loved this book from start to finish. I hope this series continues on for years to come.
