Contemporary Romance

Beau is currently living through his worst hell. His wife and son died a year ago and he does not know how to move on. When the neighbor’s son comes into his backyard to retrieve a ball, he ends up starting a friendship. The boy, Ethan, does not talk to anyone but his mother, Simone. As Beau starts to teach him how to play a guitar, a reluctant friendship forms with Simone. Then, it turns into more.
Opinion
Ashton is a great author. I have yet to read a book of hers that I did not like. This one, though, may be my favorite. Ashton has a style about her that makes the characters come to life and worm their way into your heart. This book is filled with grief yet gives you hope. The story is completely endearing and will leave you with such a happy heart.
