Suspense/Mystery

The Coin: A Sexy, Thrilling, International Romantic Suspense (Coin/Hours Duology Book 1) by [Maria Elena Alonso-Sierra]

Gabriela is living in France with her husband when she finds an unusual coin. She takes it to a jeweler to have it added to a bracelet that has sentimental value. Once she takes the coin to the jeweler, the wrong people realize she may know something of importance.
It seems that the coin was used by terrorist type groups to help identify each other. Now they need to take care of Gabriela and make sure their movements and locations do not become known to the authorities.
Richard is getting ready to leave the US to go on vacation in France when his boss calls him in. Working for one of the alphabet agencies with super secrecy, Richard is in dire need of a vacation. When his boss asks for a little favor, he reluctantly agrees. Unfortunately for him, that favor is to talk to Gabriela and Richard is quickly swept up into her protection and trying to find out what exactly is going on. Richard also develops an interest in Gabriela but she is already married to Roberto.
Opinion
This fast paced novel kept me on the seat of my pants. I particularly enjoyed the attraction that Richard had with Gabriela. The whole situation of the coin and the terrorist group was vastly interesting. It reminded me of my favorite spy series, Jason Bourne. This book will keep the reader captivated and intrigued. Trying to figure out what is going on will maintain space in your brain so best to avoid reading this book when you have a big project at work.
Many thanks to Bare Naked Words for providing me with an ARC of this book.
